Main winery & lodging
The original 100-year-old, earthquake-damaged adobe worker’s cottage was renovated, strengthened and expanded in 2011–2012, retaining its Chilean Colonial character and reclaimed antique roof tiles. In 2018 it became the present winery, tasting room and boutique lodging operation.
Approximately 210m² building
- 50m² fully equipped winery, large storage and laboratory areas, and external crush pad
- Tasting room with bathroom
- Two fully furnished luxury studios, each with a large kitchen
- Swimming pool and landscaped gardens

- 60m² outdoor dining area, grape pergola, barbecue and mud oven

The building sits within a 1,000m² fenced area. Part of the winery could become another studio; plans also exist to reconvert the building into a country home.

- Designed to reduce air-conditioning use and energy costs
- Could alternatively become a home or additional lodging
Additional buildings

120m² wine storage: built in 2017, fully insulated and air-conditioned, with capacity for more than 40,000 bottles and a rooftop tourism lookout.
A separate shed houses the water tank plus tool and equipment storage.

- Chilean distribution through Grandes Terruños
The brand, existing stocks and distribution relationships are not included in the property price but may be negotiated separately.

- Registered subterranean rights: 0.5 litres per second
- Tank storage, UV filtration and vineyard drip lines
- Canal rights sufficient to irrigate the entire plantation
- Fully paved road access
- Buildings registered with the Municipality; paperwork stated to be in order
The property is enclosed by chain-link fencing sunk 30cm into the ground, with base planks and additional chicken wire. A mature hawthorn hedge runs along the front and side boundaries.
Flexible ownership options
- The sellers rent the vineyard and winery while the lodging becomes a country home; rental income could cover running costs and the current worker could remain in the caretaker’s cottage
- Separate purchase of the La Despensa brand, stocks and business, including introductions to existing international importers and Chilean distribution
- A 12–24 month handover, or longer-term management by agreement
- Tourism operation using La Despensa wines and brand while the sellers manage the vineyard
- A new wine brand, with support from winemaking through branding
- Vineyard management, contract winemaking, purchase of grapes by the sellers, or a combination
The sellers intend to remain nearby and active in the wine industry. The property may be purchased with or without winemaking and vineyard equipment by separate agreement.
